B.E.T has proven it's success amongst Olympic and World Champions, professional surfers AND with elite business professionals, But really... it's great for anyone who breathes!!

Breath Enhancement Training (B.E.T) came to life in 2005 when some Gold Coast surfers asked Nam Baldwin (who was training with the worlds best free divers at the time), if he would work with them before their annual surf pilgrimage  to Hawaii's North Shore. 

At the time, Nam was capable of 7 minute breath holds and knew that some of his breathing & breath-hold knowledge would help immensely, however he also knew that the boys face numerous other hurdles in the dynamic and powerful environment that is big wave surfing i.e. high heart rates, sudden wipeouts, turbulence, anxiety & fear - all very different to the zen-like state experienced when free diving.  So he set to work with his partner Devon Baskerville (she had studied Human Biology & Psychology) to adapt his knowledge to this new challenge.

Over the last 14 years the training content has continually evolved to be the most recognised breath training course for surfers in Australia.  This is thanks to the testing and feedback from many of surfings greatest athletes plus the 1000'2 that have participated in the courses.  The scope of the audience has also expanded greatly from being ocean community based and now B.E.T techniques are taught to land-based sports professionals and corporates alike.

Our team are dedicated, passionate, world respected consultants, and have attained a deep understanding of Breath Enhancement Training.   Our leading performance specialist Nam Baldwin continues to gain invaluable knowledge and experience whilst working with World Surfing Champions (strength, conditioning, recovery & breathing); leading big wave riders; Australia's National Football Teams in Rugby & AFL and many World & Olympic Champions in a multitude of sports (kayaking, snowboarding, wake boarding & martial arts).  Nam is an expert in the mechanics of breath hold for surfing, breathing for physical & psychological conditioning, recovery and mental composure in high pressure situations.
